The aroma of this white wine from Piedmont is characterized by nuances of all kinds of red and black berries and dark fruits like black cherries and plums. The Bersano Gavi from the Commune of Gavi comes across as pleasantly dry to the wine enthusiast. This white wine is never coarse or sparse, but rather round and smooth. This white wine is clearly focused on one grape variety, the Cortese. Only pristine grape material was used for this wonderfully elegant monovarietal wine from Bersano. The grapes for this white wine from Italy are hand-harvested at the optimal point of ripeness. After manual harvesting, the grapes are swiftly transported to the press house, where they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. This is followed by several months of maturation on the fine lees before the wine is bottled.
The best way to enjoy this Italian white wine is chilled, at 8 - 10°C.
